At work, the hierarchies are not really performed, the status is not as important as professional and social qualities. Professional independence is very important. Normally, your co-workers trust your claimed proficiency and will leave you alone to solve your tasks. But of course you can always ask for help.

Since efficiency is important in Dutch companies, long lunch breaks are not very common. Most people prefer to eat a quick snack and have a proper meal for dinner. The accurate planning and time management are essential, so that problems and irregularities can be avoided. Punctuality is very important, not only at work, but also for private appointments and gatherings.
